CitizenPortal will publish millions of news stories this year — based on what is happening in city, county, state and federal meetings.
By making all news articles free to all U.S. citizens and residents, we expect to dramatically improve transparency and accountability in government.
We are looking to fill two new full time positions at Citizen Portal.
1. Advertising sales specialist
You will have several years experience selling sponsorships and ads for local news in one or more major markets.
You’ll be responsible for selling annual sponsorships for all 50 states. Just one civic-minded business or organization in each state is sufficient to fund Citizen Portal’s News operations.
2. Distribution/partnership manager
In addition to free access to all local, state and federal news stories on Citizen Portal, we offer free customized feeds to any existing news publisher or non profit.
News feeds can be filtered by geography or by topic.
Your job is to provide existing organizations with news feeds that can help them maintain their readership and increase our distribution.
