The world’s most advanced generative AI is here.
After a couple of days learning about it and using it, I told someone that this moment in history feels like the time when I started using the Mosiac web browser and started realizing how the web would change everything.
As ChatGPT and GPT-3 are replaced by GPT-4, and as BLOOM and ever larger language models show up on the scene, nothing will be the same.
AI systems built on top of there models will revolutionize education, the world of work, law, medicine, government and politics, leadership, literature, the arts, the military, even dating and relationships.
Just watch.
The next few years are going to feel like 1995-2000.
Hundreds of billions in capital will flow.
Trillions of dollars of value will be created.
At the same time, this will challenge humanity more than ever before because figuring out what is real and what is true will become a million times harder.
My advice to humanity students years ago when I sort of saw this coming was: read books. Read a lot of books. Become familiar with what leaders and major figures actually write. Because social media deep fakes will be very deceptive but you’ll be able to trust what people have written in books.
Now I realize that advice was naive.
AI will soon easily be able to ghost write books for anyone.
So … what will be the best ways to not be deceived?
