Alexander Graham Bell’s Visionary Invention That Predated Fiber Optics

One of my favorite inventions that never took off—The Photophone by Alexander Graham Bell. In 1880! Imagine that!

This plaque is at the corner of 13th and K St NW in Washington DC on a historic building.

I admire Bell so much I once made a pilgrimage to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia to go to the museum built in his honor.

What a visionary inventor he was!
